The Quezon City Government has once again received the highest audit rating from the Commission on Audit (COA), marking its fifth straight year of earning an Unmodified Opinion for fiscal year 2024.
Mayor Joy Belmonte hailed the milestone as a reflection of the city’s sustained commitment to public accountability and sound financial management.
The COA’s 2024 Independent Auditor’s Report affirmed that Quezon City’s financial statements were free from material misstatements, highlighting the LGU’s adherence to professional auditing standards and reliable record-keeping.
The recognition reinforces Quezon City’s standing as one of the country’s most financially well-managed local government units. The city government attributed the achievement to its ongoing efforts to uphold transparency, efficiency, and responsible use of public resources.
Officials also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining high standards of governance, vowing to continue implementing programs that prioritise citizen welfare and contribute to broader national development.
